DIE ZUFLUCHT offers you a variety of leisure activities right on your doorstep. In spring, summer and autumn, a well-signposted, extensive network of paths is available for hiking. Directly on the well-known Westweg, which leads from Pforzheim to Basel, our house is a stop for resting, strengthening and spending the night.

In the immediate vicinity, on the 940 m high Rossbühl, there is a true Mecca for paragliders – also a spectacular view for spectators.

One of the most beautiful inline skating routes in the northern Black Forest runs parallel to the Black Forest High Road, just a few meters from the hotel.

Some call it freedom. We call it the Zuflucht Effect.

Winter Magic

Winter enchants our guests with a fairytale snowy landscape that is best explored on cross-country skis. There are more than 70 km of cross-country ski trails with classic and skating tracks right in front of the hotel.

If you like it a little faster, you will find optimal winter sports conditions at our ski lift, just 50 m away, with a fantastic view of the nearby Rhine Valley, and with good visibility even as far as the French Vosges.

In addition to the classic downhill run, there is also a fun park with obstacles of various levels of difficulty, which is floodlit after dark until 10 p.m.
